DR Rose Ong's Health Line in the South China Morning Post on February 3, stressed the role parents can play in the way their children develop.

She highlighted the importance of listening skills, developing a sense of values, setting limits and raising children's self esteem. These are important factors in raising responsible children.

One of the services the Marriage and Personal Counselling Service offers is workshops or individual sessions to help parents find effective ways of communicating with their children and to promote a style of parenting which enables children to make responsible choices.
