Algeria's main shipping company, Societe Nationale des Transports Maritimes has reportedly cut fees for exporters by up to 50 per cent.

Algeria's official news agency, APS, said the move was part of a drive to increase exports outside the energy sector. The group has a fleet of more than 30 ships, serving more than 29 ports in Africa, the United States, Asia and Europe.
