A company associated with US aviation giant American Airlines has won one of two 'into-plane' fuelling franchises at the Chek Lap Kok Airport.
AMR Airline Services Fueling (Hong Kong) yesterday signed an agreement with the Airport Authority to provide the services at the new airport from April, 1998.
The firm is wholly owned by AMR Airline Services, an American Airlines affiliate.
The operator is to provide fuelling and 'de-fuelling' for aircraft for 10 years after the opening of the airport.
A second operator, AFSC Refuelling is due to sign the second of the two franchises in the near future.
