A Hong Kong man was believed to be among three suspected triad members shot dead in a gun battle with police in Manila.

Philippine police say the gang, which included a Taiwanese and an unidentified man, were part of a drug trafficking ring, supplying the designer 'ice'. Police said they found 25 plastic bags of ice, valued at US$385,000 (about HK$2.97 million), and three pistols in the suspects' car.
