Garment stocks bounced back into fashion yesterday, as speculators helped boost the sector.

Glorious Sun Enterprises, which proved red-hot when it made its debut last September, showed sounds of heating up again as it surged 32.5 cents, or 10.56 per cent, to $3.40.

Giordano International, which languished earlier in the week amid news its joint venture in China had stalled, rebounded 20 cents to $4.35.

Brokers said China-related retail stocks remained in favour with small investors as China was seen as having superior growth potential to Hong Kong.
