McDermott Shipbuilding of New Orleans is to sell its shipyard near Amelia, Louisiana, to Bollinger Shipyards.

The sale will include the assets of the shipyard and is expected to be completed by the end of next month.

Bollinger intends to continue to operate the yard, which primarily manufactures fuel, hopper and cargo barges. The company will assume McDermott's work in progress.
