Third in donkey derby

Pakistan, recognised as the second most corrupt country in the world, has another title to its credit - it stands third among the nations which have the largest number of donkeys, reports The Nation in Lahore.

According to the new edition of the Guinness Book of World Records, Pakistan has 3.6 million donkeys, as compared to 11.2 million in China and 5.2 million in Ethiopia.

Other countries topping the donkey league are Mexico, Iran, Egypt, India, Brazil, Afghanistan and Nigeria. The book puts the world's donkey population at 44 million.
