The US Coast Guard has announced that Marinette Marine Corp of Marinette, Wisconsin, has been awarded a contract to construct six additional 175-foot Keeper class coastal buoy tenders at a total cost of US$73 million. The original 1993 contract provided options for 14 cutters to be built and serviced.
