Macau International Airport Co (CAM) recorded its second highest monthly cargo tonnage total last month since opening in November 1995, an airport spokesman says.

He said 3,736 tonnes of cargo passed through the enclave's airport, bringing the total so far this year to 8,522 tonnes. Macau recorded 25,046 tonnes of cargo last year, with November setting the monthly record of 4,417 tonnes.

The March passenger figure reached 149,765, also the second highest total since the airport opened, just behind February's record of 150,772 passengers.
