COMMITTAL proceedings against Ch'ng Poh, the former chairman of Intercontinental Housing Development Holdings Ltd facing charges connected with the theft of $127 million from the company, were adjourned yesterday because he was unwell.

The 53-year-old Malaysian faces one count of publishing false statements, one of conspiracy to defraud and three counts of theft. The committal hearing, expected to take six weeks, will resume on Thursday.
