Miss Piggy under notice yet again

Miss Piggy must surely oblige for his patient trainer Wong Tang-ping before the end of the season.

The eight-year-old son of north of England stallion Crofthall has gone into the notebook on a number of occasions this season, usually staying on in races which were not quite suitable for him as he's proved a devil of a job to place.

He's not quite up to Class Two these days and appears to need a fast-run race in Class Three from 1,800 metres up at Happy Valley and 1,600 metres up at Sha Tin.

Last night the Happy Valley track was all against him as there was a profound bias in operation which favoured the leaders and Miss Piggy habitually comes from off the pace.

In the circumstances he did well to finish 7.75 lengths eighth.

The David Oughton-trained Congratulations shaped most encouragingly in the penultimate event won so readily by another leader, Grand Prize.
