Taskforce to gather opinions
A taskforce will be set up to collect provisional legislature members' opinions and arrange details for the handover ceremony.
A paper on handover arrangements says members will attend the ceremony held jointly by the Chinese and British governments before midnight on June 30.
They will then have to be sworn in and ratify all ordinances passed by the shadow body before July 1. This will take place immediately after the inaugural ceremony of the Special Administrative Region government.
The body's house committee will discuss the arrangements today in Shenzhen, and will invite members to say where the council meeting should be held to ratify the ordinances after midnight on June 30.
The house committee will also discuss a proposal from post-handover executive councillor Leung Chun-ying that members be sworn in collectively.
