Talk that the Jardines Group may relist in Hong Kong prompted three covered-call warrants yesterday and denials from the group that it planned to return.
Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) and Indosuez W.I. Carr each set warrants on a basket including Hongkong Land and Jardine Matheson. UBS warrants carry a premium of 12 per cent and a gearing of 4.55 times, while Carr's premium is 12.5 per cent and gearing is 4.44.
Peregrine set warrants on a basket including Jardine Matheson, Jardine Strategic and Hongkong Land. The premium is 13.5 per cent and gearing is 4.6.
