THE 'reunification bill' will be tabled and passed on July 1 in three readings, it emerged yesterday.

The provisional legislature's procedural affairs committee agreed there would be no amendments, and each member would get three minutes to voice an opinion.

Committee vice-chairman Maria Tam Wai-chu said the bill should be completed as soon as possible to avoid a legal vacuum, because 'we need this bill to ratify all other legislation passed by the provisional legislature before June 30'.
