This is the Mandarin Oriental's contribution to your handover hangover.

Where to buy: The Mandarin Cake Shop, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Central.

Description: A bottle of Moet et Chandon champagne and a silver tankard in a black leather case, with the Union Jack and the Chinese national flags.

Cost: $397 for the champagne and $1,800 for the cup and case.

Our verdict: After looking at dozens of useless '97 souvenirs, we can vouch that the champagne is good value for money, considering a bottle of bubbly costs about the same in liquor stores. As for the tankard, you might need something to toast the new regime.
