Sources say the Port of Rotterdam is unlikely to obtain quick approval from the Dutch Government for its expansion plans.

They said the Dutch cabinet had decided further talks should be held on the matter on July 1.

The port wants to add at least 2,000 hectares of industrial sites, including 750 hectares of a nature reserve and recreational space, under the proposed expansion.
