Non-stop to the Windy City
United Airlines is once again offering non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Chicago, the longest non-stop service in the world, at 12,461 kilometres.
The flight leaves Kai Tak three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, at 8.05 am. Return flights are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The service will operate only in the summer months when favourable weather makes the flight feasible.
United says the travel time from Chicago to Hong Kong is 15 hours 55 minutes, and from Hong Kong, 14 hours 30 minutes.
London's Madame Tussaud's wax museum will make a rare foray outside Europe when it brings many of its wax figures to Asia later this year. More than 100 statues in wax, representing some of the world's best-known figures of history and contemporary life, will 'tour' Southeast Asia and Australia, starting in Melbourne in October.
A new package holiday to Da Nang via Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City is available until November 30. The three-night tour includes one night in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh and two at the Furama Resort, Da Nang.
