Auckland teu traffic up 15pc

Container volumes at Ports of Auckland grew nearly 15 per cent to more than 464,000 teu (20-ft equivalent units) in the year to June 30, up from 405,000 teu the previous year.

Ports of Auckland handled more than 11.3 million tonnes of cargo, compared with 10.1 million tonnes in 1996, a 12 per cent increase.
