Beauty queens' precious time

Beauty queens and cocktails were cause for celebration at the Grand Hyatt Ballroom.

Audemars Piguet presented three watches as prizes to the winners of the Miss Hong Kong Pageant 1997.

They were Miss Hong Kong, Virginia Yung, first runner-up Vivian Lee and second runner-up Charmaine Sheh.

More than 200 guests attended, including Georges-Henri Meylan, president of Audemars Piguet, who flew in from Switzerland.

The event marked the 25th anniversary of both the Miss Hong Kong contest and the watchmaker's Royal Oak collection.
