A couple on their way to get married escaped injury when their bridal car overturned in Kowloon Tong yesterday.

The car hit the railings at the Waterloo Road flyover, outside Maryknoll Convent School, at about 2.30 pm, after a car cut in front.

The couple and the best man were unhurt. They flagged down a taxi to the Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui for their wedding, scheduled for 3.15 pm.

The 29-year-old driver suffered minor injuries to his hands and legs and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
