Bachelor chef's sure-fire tips on the food of love

Writing a book must be all the rage these days. Wini Brugger, formerly the executive chef at the Hilton, has written a cookbook called Asian Fusion, which will be launched next week.

Brugger, who never really lived down posing nude for a risque Hilton advert a few years back, was quick to point out the difference between fusion cooking (where you accent classical French cuisine with Asian techniques and flavours) and its counterpart, East meets West cooking (where you take Asian cooking and Westernise it).

His favourite recipe in the book is the mushroom cappuccino and he is not afraid of sharing his trade secrets. 'Even if three people have the same ingredients, the dish will come out different. Recipes are a guideline and not an exact formula to follow word for word.' A bachelor, Brugger says he always cooks for his dates. 'Women like men who are cultivated and if you cook well, you inevitably score.' Heed this advice, men: go out and get yourself a copy.
