It is astonishing that Madonna (South China Morning Post, September 6) would complain of excessive media attention and compare herself to the late Princess Diana.
For almost two decades Madonna has been fanatically obsessed with attracting attention to herself. She even published a book, Sex, which force-fed the public her sexual fantasies and included photos of simulated lesbianism and bestiality.
By contrast the evidence suggests Diana wanted to be a wife and mother and sought press attention primarily to highlight charitable causes and other good works.
Madonna reflects a pathological egotism that shames the memory of someone who actually made a contribution to humankind.
