People here love lists but more importantly, they love being included in them. So I guess it was understandable when I got a call from an excited Kai-bong Chau telling me that he has been included in next year's 15th edition of Who's Who in America.

He tells me that about two weeks ago he received a call from the publisher to congratulate him on his 'approved' entry in this prestigious tome.

However, the process started six months ago when Kai-bong received a letter asking him to note down some particulars about himself for the board's consideration.

'They stressed that this signed information about yourself had to go through many screenings, verifications and investigations.' Not too much to worry about when your late father was Sir Sik-nin Chau, an eye specialist as well as a prominent political figure from the 1940s to the 1960s.

His mother was one of the early founders of the prestigious Po Leung Kuk charity. Kai-bong himself graduated from Cambridge with a law degree and is a solicitor. Now I bet a lot of people didn't know that.
