The cracks in Patten's path
MR Patten's recent visit to Prosperous Garden, the Yau Ma Tei estate,, was most welcome.
Residents of Prosperous Garden have been fighting for the re-surfacing of the section of Public Square Street in front of Prosperous Garden for months without any success.
However, two days before Mr Patten's visit, the section was re-surfaced with asphalt, a task that took less than 24 hours.
Mr Patten is hereby cordially invited to visit Prosperous Garden again as, soon after his visit, the asphalt cracked and the thundering noise made by container trucks driving over the cracks is once again making my four-month-old daughter frightened and cry at five o'clock in the morning.
