Lion Nathan, a New Zealand brewer, says some of the NZ$20 million (about HK$98.75 million) saved on construction of its new mainland brewery will be used to expand its business there. The new brewery at Suzhou, Jiangsu province, was budgeted at $200 million, although it actually cost $180 million and was finished two months ahead of schedule. The company will invest about half of the savings to expand distribution and brand development.
