I live in the Sai Kung area. The other day during my early morning walk I was horrified to note that an estate agent had spray-painted its phone number on almost any surface that would accept it, for example, slopes, catchpits, walls etc.

Every weekend there are positively reams of paper wasted by temporary banners strewn from lamps, posts and trees.

Every week these are left in place for the wind and rain to scatter them everywhere.

Could I ask the relevant government departments (Environmental Protection, Lands Department, the police, etc), what is or what will be done to the perpetrators of these acts? I am fairly sure that if I spray-painted my phone number across the front of one of these estate agents' windows or dumped soggy paper and string inside their doors that I would be promptly arrested. Why is nothing done about their acts of vandalism? Surely these people are easily traceable, as they almost always leave their phone numbers.
