The 22-storey Century Square, located at 1-13 D'Aguilar Street in Central, has been sold for $1.24 billion, sales agent First Pacific Davies said.

 The 94,727-square-foot office building, which includes 16 levels of office space and six floors of retail space, was sold for $13,000 per sq ft.

 Previously, agents predicted the office portion would sell for about $11,000 per sq ft while the retail section would sell for about $15,000 per sq ft.

 First Pacific Davies executive director Raymond Ho Wing-fai, said the price was in-line with market expectations. The new owners would probably use a portion of the building for their head offices, he said.
