Nonsense

Jane Moir, in her 'Backbites' column in Agenda (Sunday Morning Post, October 5) questions the public relations savvy of the staff at the Centre of Environmental Technology (CET). As an example of this ineptitude she uses the title of the CET's new quarterly magazine, Eco-Advantage, dubbing it 'eco-nonsense'. I fail to see her point.

The title of the magazine was chosen to reflect CET's mission: to show the corporate world that green policies and environmentally responsible behaviour can be an advantage, not a burden, as is popularly believed.

Eco-Advantage is meant to serve as a forum for leaders in business, government and academia to share ideas on and solutions to environmental problems facing Hong Kong. Is trying to promote the idea that thinking green makes good business sense nonsense? STEPHANIE FORMAN MORIMURA Editor, Eco-Advantage
