Tung Chee-hwa arrived in Tokyo last night for a three-day visit to promote better relations and lure back tourists. He will meet Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto, Foreign Minister Keizo Obuchi and the powerful Japan Federation of Economic Organisations, known as the Keidanren, today.

The trip comes amid the controversy over claims Japanese tourists were being charged up to three times more for hotels than other visitors.
