Rich Ramos mix-up
It was nice bumping into Angel Ramos again, an old friend and former colleague of mine. Angel is, of course, Philippine President Fidel Ramos' daughter and was in town with her dad for the World Economic Forum.
One memory of Hong Kong that has stayed with Angel was an article a couple of years back about homes on the Peak with a map showing where many high-profile people lived.
It pointed to a palatial house where she was reported to reside.
In fact, Angel said: 'I lived across the road in a little basement flat which I rented from a Chinese family very reasonably. But the way it was portrayed, it appeared that I was living it up in this huge Peak mansion, and when word got back to my father he had to explain to his people that the article was inaccurate.'
