Interior designer Rebecca Mitchell, formerly of Hong Kong, leads a life to make any armchair traveller green with envy.

Rebecca, married to Yves Carcelle, president and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton worldwide, was in town for yesterday's wedding of old pal Tayma Page to restaurateur Martin Allies.

When I saw Rebecca for lunch a couple of days ago, she told me she got back at 3 am that morning from Tayma's hen party and pulling from her handbag several items she salvaged from the party, it was obvious the girls had a wild and wonderful time.

But now Rebecca flies around the world visiting the most exciting and exotic places with her hubby, with whom she tied the knot a year and a half ago in the south of France. She is off to LA after Hong Kong and then to New York to see Marc Jacobs' collection before going to Moscow. But of all the places in the world, Rebecca says the best three years of her life were here.

'I had such a good time. I was single and made such good friends.' The couple have just renovated their Paris apartment, but Rebecca says she really lives on planes.

'Maybe in a year or two, when we start a family, I will scale down my travelling but right now I just want to see every corner of the world.' Needless to say, when Rebecca travels, she does so with very nice luggage.
