Daewoo wins US$210m order

Daewoo Heavy Industries has won a US$210 million order from World Wide Shipping for two 300,000 tonne very large crude carriers and a 170,000-tonne bulk carrier. The tankers, each measuring 332 metres in length, 58 metres wide and 31 metres in depth, will have a navigation speed of 15.3 knots. The bulk carrier will be 289 metres in length, 45 metres wide and 24 metres in depth. Delivery is scheduled for 2000.
