The white-knuckle thrills of motor racing are the basis for a new game from Psygnosis, Formula 1.

  Its explosive graphics are designed for the processing power of the hottest modern 3D accelerator cards.

 Players have a choice of arcade races or planning to win a whole championship season.

 The arcade mode gives a brief, enjoyable adventure with plenty of speed, rebounding cars and across-the-grass shortcuts.

 It is like an upgraded version of Pole Position.

 There are 17 tracks, 35 drivers and 13 teams to pick from, all based on official Formula One specifications.

 The realistic game includes engine sounds recorded from actual cars and the sounds of skidding tyres are tip-top.

  If you have the audio set- up, you can enjoy Dolby Surround and Qsound options.

  The game comes with individual behaviour models for each driver, pit-stops and weather elements to bring tactics into play.

  Its top-notch gameplay and control bring you a realistic racing experience.

  The graphics and visual quality are excellent. The game is the least-pixelated, smoothest racing game around, due no doubt to the fact you must have a 3D graphics accelerator card to run the thing.

  There are truly blistering frame rates in high resolution.

 Formula 1 is everything an arcade racer should be. It offers you an absorbing ride with plenty of speed.

 The game runs on Pentium 90 or above with 16 MB of RAM, 50 MB of hard-disk space and one of these 3D graphics accelerator chipsets: 3Dfx (4 MB), Rendition Verite (4 MB), Matrox Mystique (4 MB) or 3D Labs Permedia (4 MB).

  Your system also needs Windows 95 and Sound Blaster or compatible sound card.

  MEGAHINT: If you are going into a corner with a group of cars ahead, use only light braking or just gear-down, then ricochet off the other guys. Chances are you will come out in a better position than when you went in.
