Feline friend's warm gift

In one of the coldest places on Earth, a gift from the Pink Panther means 200 Inner Mongolian students will be a lot warmer this winter.

American-based Owens Corning, an insulation materials company, helped celebrate the opening of a village school in Taibus Qi, Inner Mongolia, by donating products to combat the harsh below-zero temperatures of the northern Asian winter. On hand for the ceremony was the company's international ambassador, the Pink Panther, used by Owens Corning to promote its mainly pink insulation products.

Owens Corning donated a further 200,000 yuan (about HK$186,000) to build the 11,000-square-metre school as part of its Project Hope.
