Odense silent on facility deal

Managers at the Odense Shipyard owned by Danish shipping group AP Moeller have refused to comment on a report the port had acquired an east German shipyard.

The finance minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state, Juergen Seidel, said last week that Odense had acquired the yard for 25 million deutschemarks (about HK$109 million). The yard is part of the former Bremer-Vulkan group.
