Storli has sold the chemical carrier Bow Sun to a new company owned half by Storli and half by a fully owned subsidiary of Compania Sudamericana de Vapores, a Chilean company.

Storli said the sale of the 50 per cent stake would yield a profit of about 48 million Norwegian krone (about HK$50.64 million) and would be reflected in the fourth-quarter figures.

The vessel will be employed primarily in the sulphuric acid trade in Chile and on the west coast of South America. The 28,060 deadweight tonne (dwt) Bow Sun was built in 1977.
