Trainer overdue for turn of luck

TRAINER Bruce Hutchison has had the unhappy experience of seeing almost a quarter of his stable walk out the door recently but the resilient ex-Perth mentor could be celebrating success at Happy Valley tonight. Hutchison and Club jockey John Marshall combine with interesting Sagar in the fourth event.


Sagar had been brought along patiently by Hutchison and ran a bold race over 2,000 metres on the equitrack two starts back when finishing three-parts of a length second to Star Of Pakistan, who re-opposes tonight. Sagar showed a clear liking for the synthetic surface by being up with the pace and then running on quite strongly after Star Of Pakistan, who has competed in very good company, had slipped clear.
