Industrial output of the mainland's 1,254 large state-owned enterprises reached 958.8 billion yuan in the first 11 months of last year. The China Daily said the output of those enterprises - involved mainly in oil exploration, electric power and transportation - accounted for 40.9 per cent of the overall output of the mainland's 67,000 state-owned industrial firms. Sales of the large firms reached 1.52 trillion yuan, taking 60 per cent of the total figure.
