Recently, my mother received a counterfeit $10 coin in the market. I feel strongly that others should know about it and I urge the appropriate government departments to look into the matter.
It was not difficult to identify the forged coin when compared to a real one. The silver of the forged coin looks grey, and the gold in the centre is brighter than in a real one. The pattern is far less distinct in the forged coin.
Coin fraud is a serious crime, and its existence could destroy a country's economy and social stability.
It is especially of concern in the case of Hong Kong, when we are facing an economic recession. The outbreak of forged coins will definitely lead to severe problems if no appropriate action is adopted against it.
