Cathay stingy over luggage delay

Ever wondered whose responsibility it is to get you and your luggage to your destination? Well, Cathay Pacific seem to think that returning your luggage to you the day before you return home is responsible enough for them.

Just make sure anything you need for your journey is in your hand luggage, and if not, make sure it travels on another airline.

My last experience with them was travelling to a wedding and not being able to take part in the ceremonies because my bag had gone walkabout.

The airline cares, but not enough to refund the price of your ticket to compensate for losing your luggage.

The baggage section did offer to pay for the clothes we bought, but what about the fact that we could not take part in the wedding, which made our journey a useless trip? I really expected better from Hong Kong's premier airline.
