In fact, many seem to be part-time students and full-time workers.

It is surely not a phenomenon we want to see. But it seems to be the norm.

Students do not seem to understand how much these jobs eat into their study time.

Working also nurtures the desire to make quick money and makes students more materialistic.

Students should be studying, rather than devising ways of earning enough for a pair of Nike or Reebok trainers.

Some people say part-time jobs give teenagers a chance to get used to getting on in a competitive society, but I believe they have years ahead of them for that.

They will be working until they retire so why do they want to get jobs now instead of enjoying their school days? We should discourage teenagers from working when they should be studying.
