An act of putting words in our mouth
THIS picture arrived on my desk, purporting to inform me the Hongkong Scrabble Championship is on, with the top players getting the chance to participate later in the year in the 1993 world titles.
The caption read: ''Scrabble fanatics Sandy Butchkiss and Nadine Newlight contemplating the next move at a recent game . . .'' What poppycock. The duo look as if they're doing nothing more than posing for a picture they hope will make its way to a newspaper and into print.
Really, what do they take us for?
