I refer to the letter 'Jail drive fear' (South China Morning Post, January 14).

As the writer had an unfortunate experience while driving near Shek Pik prison on Lantau Island, it would be misleading for the Correctional Services Department (CSD) to answer her question regarding driving in a restricted area without further information.

In regard to the behaviour of CSD staff, if the writer could provide details of the incident, we will look into the matter.
