Employees posted to the mainland for less than 183 days a year will enjoy tax exemption. Mainland officials had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Inland Revenue Department, said the semi-official China News Service. An employee would have to prove his salary was not paid by permanent offices on the mainland, nor by mainland residents on behalf of his employer.
