Quick ticket after change
THE police coffers must be running dry again. Last week I was ticketed for dropping off my wife at Kai Chiu Road - something I've done every weekday for the past ten years. Over the weekend, however, the road sign had been switched to allow only taxis and minibuses to stop.
I asked the policeman if he might exercise discretion on the first morning of the new arrangement. His reply was ''You should have read of the change in the newspaper'' - buried under statements from Lu Ping, perhaps. PAUL L BROWN Shouson Hill
