Palladium hits 18-year high

Palladium climbed as much as 1.8 per cent to an 18-year high yesterday amid expectations that Russia, which usually provides more than half of the world's supplies of the precious metal, would not lift its suspension of shipments before the end of the month. Palladium for immediate delivery rose as much as US$4.50 to $259.50 an ounce in London trading.
