Infection rules out Silver Wisp

ENGLISH Derby third Silver Wisp has been struck down by a bacterial infection that rules him out of the Hongkong International Cup at Sha Tin on April 18. The four-year-old's defection so close to the big race is a real body blow to connections, as well asthe Royal Hongkong Jockey Club, as he was clearly the Take Risks, who is also out, will be replaced by either the Paul Cole-trained Half A Tick or Clive Brittain's Alflora. Whichever one will be decided by the toss of a coin after the Doncaster Mile today.
