Sao Sebastiao, Brazil: British boat Silk Cut re-took the lead in the sixth leg of yachting's Whitbread Round-the-World race, passing the Swedish entry EF Language as they rounded the Caribbean island of Barbuda.

Silk Cut, skippered by Lawrie Smith, positioned herself better on the approach to the island and was able to sail a better line as EF Language struggled to get around the outlying reefs.
