Tension builds up hopes for punters

HORSES from the stable of Gary Ng Ting-keung are running smack into top form and it could pay for Double Trio punters to follow improving Super Tension in the first leg of the exotic bet at Sha Tin tomorrow. The vastly popular bet paid out a massive $120,000 at Happy Valley on Wednesday despite the presence of well-supported runners and there is every possibility of another good pay-day tomorrow. Super Tension is lurking very dangerously on 124 pounds in the 1,400-metre Class Two race which is the first legof the DT and he has been working along sweetly since an excellent last-start effort. That was on February 7 in the 1,200-metre Hongkong Club Challenge Cup at Sha Tin where he was just over three lengths from impressive winner Super Fit. Super Tension, ridden on that occasion by Basil Marcus, made steady progress
