Shanghai insists on one broker

The Shanghai stock exchange yesterday adopted a new trading system requiring investors to trade through only one securities house, the Shanghai Securities News said. The exchange's automatic quotation system was set to reject transaction orders from investors who had failed to appoint an exclusive brokerage authorised to trade on their behalf.


The stock exchange in Shenzhen has already implemented the system.
